1st Anniversary

Gosh... I am already 30 weeks... just thinking about it makes me short of breath. Fuhh... there's so many things to do and not much time left.

In other developments, the one and I celebrated our first anniversary yesterday. Nothing eventful happened except that I forwarded him this link so that he'd have an idea of how much more interesting an anniversary can be celebrated in the future ;P hehe... hmmm... hints to a man will get you nowhere. Do it like me, if you want something, just ask for it to prevent you from being hugely disappointed. We're all not built to read minds.

looks like someone else is enjoying the anniversary pillow the one gave me, eh?

As we had too many celebrations this month and a much earlier date together, we decided to postpone the celebration to probably next weekend or so. I'm totally fine with that since I've been so beat most of the time and all I want to do is have my much needed rest before the delivery. Once little jj comes out, there's no telling how different life will be.

The one has been on a project coming to our anniversary. Well, many people already know how it all started between me and him. It's a known fact that I read him before he discovered my blog. I was entranced by his writing and his take in life, somewhat similar to what I've written before. The experience that we both went thru albeit in different time and circumstances made us share the same bond on our take in life that made me want to reach out to him and tell him I'm here.

I guess that fascination with his writing inspired him to write everyday coming to our anniversary and yup... many of the things he wrote were the things that made me fall for him in the first place.

It's easy for couples to lose track of what's important in their relationship once it takes off and found its path. One sometimes need to re-visit and remember what it was that made you attracted to each other in the first place. With so many things happening in our daily life, it may be so easy to be ignorant of what's important as we focus on more trivial pursuits and make comparisons to what others' have.

It's what we have that is so priceless because no one else have them.

Celebrating our first anniversary as husband and wife feels so much different than our other anniversary celebration as a couple before we were married. Seeing someone everyday, day in day out forces a challenge as compared to seeing someone 4 hours a day, 2-3 times a week. I can't say we have strike victory (although it is a victory for the one hehe... ouch!) because there is still many years to go. It takes both parties to work things out as issues won't be ironed out automatically with us just sitting on our butts doing nothing. Best of all, we should be thankful that we've found love. I know a number of people who gets together on convenience. I wouldn't know how far that would lead but even love can get you across just so much.

We still have plenty to learn from and about each other. And I am grateful that we've come this far.

I love you, baby. I love what you are and I love what you've been
I love what you do and I love what you've seen
I love the tender way you touch me
The loving way you touched my heart
I love the way you hold my hand
I love you even when we're apart
Best of all, I love the way you look at me
The sparkle in your eyes
It says so much your heart is free
Your love makes me feel alive.

happy anniversary to both of u ! yeah, it easy to take things for granted as both partners grow old together.. Thus, always keep it in mind of how we want others to treat us so as we wont forget to treat them in the same meaningful way back..
